Ok! A new area of the Soul Station is reworked with the new dialog system.
At first: the 2 Raccoons who are “guarding” the casino have their own new dialogue, and even if they are not really important you can go a little bit more in depth when talking with them.
And Aurum Pridetail, one of the wolves who never went insane with strict discipline (or greed).
You have to acknowledge this pride animal now and you can do that with 3 different ways.
I suggest you to kiss his paw, its just hilarious.
He will always talk different to you for the rest of your life, depending what you chose (and more).
And of course you can still open the shop to buy tokens as before.
And for the lore enthusiasts, he has some answers. But only if you ask of course!

As soon as you bring her a blueprint she is combining the void power with the copperwind technology, and Chromo decrypts 3 words of the void language and burns them into the Formless Mass.
The quest “Broodbite” is fixed for sure. I upated all the monster material so you can cook with it, but forgot to update the quests.
And then I think I fixed the death message when you fall to the void. I tried to recreate it and it looks fixed.
I added some kind of cooldown to the skript.
Then I removed the arrow reward from the weapon-crates, because I dont want any arrow in the game anymore. The crossbow is working without ammunition to be equal to the dagger and the shield EXCEPT 1 arrow you get when you will craft the Oak Bow for the quest. Which was maybe stupid because the bow has now INFINITY I, we will see : D
Then I remembered that the skript for the Owl Feathers was inactive and reactivated it fast : P
Its some kind of buff only active for this area.
And now the most important part:
Some items do not stack, still
Thats because some items like the Abyssal Tear are achieved trough quests and some trough shops.
The shop-plugin is changing something in the lore of the item, which they said they cant change.
So I invented the magic box at Soul Station, just right click it and it will stack your items, or better said fixing the lore.
So buying the ticket for Emmeline is possible after that. This will not stay like it is, while I am moving forward with the quality rework as upgrading the dialogues and muuuuuch better quests, I will find a way for that,too
Last thing:
The repeating events like the presentation of Soul Station or the dialogues are a real problem, they told me I can update BetonQuest from 2.0 to 3.0 to fix it.
That means I have to change a lot like revisiting the whole code. I will do that when Soul Station is completely reworked.
I think I am at 70% there.
Ok, the Everwalker sold tickets.
Lets be real that was stupid. An ancient being which is chained to the Soul Station to all infinity… to sell tickets.
Thats a horrible job.
The ticket selling is now as it should be, by a copperwind automaton with some complex functions.
And the Everwalker is doomed to open the portals to all the different realms as long as travelers bring him the key.
Sounds like he used this power once for a wrong reason and now has to live with the punishment.
But who knows, maybe you weaken the chains with every key you bring him.
I have some other portals with different colors prepared, too.
That means he will open the portals from the divine keys to fight the higher versions of the bosses.
Oh wow! I did it! The first real quality questline of Void Tales.
You know there are plenty quests here but the dialogues are crazy long and they are linear. Not anymore!
I wrote this quest 5 days long and its only the first. It has character, charme, decisions, plot twists,hints you can gather and 2 complete different outcomes which will decide which unique gemstone you will get. (You can read them before you decide)
Its not approved yet, but it will for sure : D
You can find the questline already in-game and try it out.
Just talk to the Gemadillo Boss in their shop and see what can happen.
The real gem (no pun intended) of this quest is Mournis, a complete new NPC with some disturbing character traits which you will only find at night.

(so much work for 1 quest, but hey we try to be different. And better than the rest!)
Today I started to work on the second questline, which is theoretically really simple. But there is a lot happening around it.
You will learn a lot more about Agnes and why she is buying monster material. She will lore-wise connect to the Hall Of Voices dungeon and to Ibis Island. It sounds boring maybe but after you brought what she desires, there will be a choice which will affect the rest of the game forever.
I think the item description says everything but now you can play it freely as you wish, there are even 2 “secret nodes”.
But yea it is not just gimmick playing, you can travel back to Soul Station like before and I kept the melodie. I tried to change it first but honestly, I love it as it is.
In addition there is a new melody to unravel secrets, we will see what that means, and you unlock new dialogues with a few NPCs as soon as you have it.
For the people who have it already, you just need to take yours in the hand and it will update!
Alright guys, here comes something else.
As told yesterday the Blossomwind Flute is now the Flufftail Flute.
The Racoons and their origin homeland Tanuki are seen sometimes here & there and will play a major role some day in the future. So it comes that the flute that brings you back home has to be more important, too!
I added a much better custom designed sound from myself of a Shakuhachi flute into Void Tales. It replaced the boring noteblock sound of the minecraft flute.
You can now play the flute freely as you wish with 2 basic notes (left & right-click) and pitch them dependent of if you look up or down.
A completely new melody is added to unravel secrets, I show you an example here in the video. But it will be able to do much much more!
Bonus:
had the idea once that every gemstone should have its own lore, and he is completely right. Absoloutely even!
So I started with the 2 gemstones you can get in the Gemadillo Questline, and now the first gemstone that was there already. I linked it to the Tanuki & Racoon lore and it is the reward for playing the melody at Soul Station here.
Oh and as I mentioned you can even unlock new dialogues with NPCs who are related to this place as soon as you have the flute : D
I have to admit that her quest stayed the same, but it feels 20 x better. With the new dialogue options and things you can answer she seems to have a much deeper character. It was something like: yo, get 3 mushrooms please.
Not you can experience how a skilled thief starts to believe in misfortune and slowly getting paranoid. When you helped her you will have access to even deeper conversation about the Mosslights and the Tempest Quiver.
Oh and when we are here already: Another gemstone which you can get when you were really nice to her has its own unique lore now as all of them will have soon.
Almost everybody who played Void Tales once crossed one of them. And they are always connected to other two of them. They are my biggest attempt to show a RPG side of the good old days and some of you even mentioned the feeling and remembrance to zelda and other games like this.

Fiore:
He is a little bit bigger then before and is always giving the player a nice way to think about this world. While doing so he is always challenging the gods and Phia with his words indirectly, but never directly. Even when this is what brought this three in their misery he will never stop to challenge the world, the gods, the people and of course every single height he can climb. So he remains the jump quest guy. Hate him or love him, there is no between.
Pei:
Pei stayed the same from the looks but he is more unique then ever.
While he knows the world like his left wing and saw everything from above twice already you can notice that he struggles with his memories. He is remembering everything, just in the wrong order. He is traumatized by what has be done to them but tries to keep up his good mood. He will keep giving you advice and hints.
Vivalora:
She got the biggest change. From a harsh chicken treating you distant she became a warm hearted… chicken. No but she is obsessed with all the shiny and golden things people forgot or lost in the world. Before it was just materialism, but she has a severe trauma of loosing everything, thats why she is obsessed with finding things and even more: keeping them.
And her humor is not that bad anymore.
They all have MUUUCH better dialogues now with different options you cna choose.
Pei & Vivalora will not talk with you and tread you like a stranger until you met Fiore at Owls Nest and climbed the tree.
Fiore can not be seen at their house until you met him at Owls Nest and climbed the tree.
Fiore will vanish at Owls Nest and appear at their house after you met him at Owls Nest and climbed the tree.
Vivaloras treasure quest has now a less confusing hint for the treasure and a completely other reward. A golden mask. I am implementing mask items which are just cosmetics basicaly but here and there some people are interested in them.
After you obtained the mask from the treaure quest you can talk to Vivalora again and see a completely other side of her.
This will lead to a difficult decision: Keep the mask or sell it to a really good prize.
I could talk all day about the changes I am doing in the last weeks. IT. IS. INCREDIBLE.
And this is only the first meeting with them.
They have great secrets and a long past.
My longest quest to date is finally finished: “Dreamnest.”
Without giving too much away, it’s about an ambitious bird who wants to build the perfect nest, and the choices the player makes that influence the story’s outcome and the rewards.
It takes multiple days sometimes to rework 1 single quest, but I am satisfied in the end.
To be honest I am changing so much (to the better) that I cant even write it all here.
I try it:
Ashen Petals have a new design and “evolve” when you hit them now.
You dont have to do a jumpquest anymore to help Farmer Grace.
There is a new “quest” (dialogue-driven). The small Ellum does not feel so good, maybe you can help it.
The book lecterns telling the sentences of Phia are now gone and the text is written on the stone.
To Graces Quest:
You have to something completely different now. She has an Ellum which is much stronger and bigger than the others, but it is nervous and scared really fast. Your task is it to guide it to a much calmer space so Grace can shear it. The Ellum will follow you a few steps when you are interacting with it, so you have to be patient. The problem is, it hates the scarecrow.
After finishing this task, she will not pay you. But she will give you some knowledge where you can find wild Ellums and even tame one.
The main-quest will lead you here. It is some of the places where you will feel the influence of Ibis´s sin. Even the gods are not perfect.
She is knows as the goddess of knowledge, but also oblivion.
I want to move on to the next area, but then I remembered the commitment to quality.
I linked a few NPCs to others.
If you meet the second Mosslight associated NPC already, why not ask both of them about the other?
If this guy tells you the direction to Matilda, why not tell him you killed her?
If you helped Agnes overcome her past or decided to destroy the core of her power to make her your willingless slave, why not tell the priestess who guided you in this quest?
And so on and so on. Oh and some hidden achievements
